Perched high on the slopes of Mount Canobolas at 1,100m elevation, Macquariedale Organic Wines offers a truly distinctive cool–climate experience in Orange. Owners & winemaker Ross and Derice are a family–run vineyard renowned for its organic, low–preservative, and vegan–friendly wines—crafted with care and a deep respect for nature. Guests can enjoy intimate tastings at the scenic cellar door, relax with local produce platters, and soak in panoramic views of the Towac Valley. The Canobolas Hotel

Located in the heart of Orange’s vibrant CBD, The Canobolas Hotel Bistro offers a relaxed yet stylish dining experience that blends classic country hospitality with contemporary flair. Set within a beautifully renovated space, the bistro serves up expertly cooked steaks, woodfired pizzas, and elevated pub favourites—perfectly paired with local wines and craft beers. Guests can unwind in the sunny courtyard, enjoy live music in the front bar, or take advantage of weekly specials like the Burger of the Week and Sunday Roast. Mortimer’s Wines

Set in the beautifully restored 1866 March Schoolhouse just north of Orange, Mortimer’s Wines offers a charming and character-rich cellar door experience. This family-owned winery showcases a range of premium cool-climate varietals—including Chardonnay, Shiraz, and Pinot Noir—served with warm hospitality by Peter & Daniel Mortimer family themselves. Guests can enjoy tastings in the heritage setting, relax in the garden courtyard, or pair their wines with cheese platters, all while soaking in live music and vineyard views.
